Without bacteria in a pond, muck levels would rapidly build up on the pond floor, which in turn provides a nutrient source for algae and weed growth. Using beneficial bacteria for ponds is a key step to your pond muck removal efforts. Adding Crystal Blue beneficial pond bacteria to your pond not only helps break down muck and dead vegetation on the pond floor, it also helps neutralize nitrates and phosphates, two things that can feed the growth of unwanted weeds and algae. Our liquid pond bacteria product, Natural Pond Cleaner, will help keep your pond clear of muck and sludge. Our pond bacteria consists of safe and natural bacteria that helps maintain pond muck levels, dead leaves, odors and other organic material that can hurt the healthy balance of your pond or lake. Directions: Pour directly into water from shore. 1 gallon will treat 1 acre of water 4-6 feet deep. Bacteria should be reapplied every 30 days depending on rainfall and runoff.
